  • Aug. 29, 2026, three papers, "Transmission Design for DMA- and RIS-Assisted Satellite Symbiotic Radio Systems with Low-Resolution DACs" has been accepted by IEEE Internet of Things Journal.

  • Aug. 21, 2026, "NUM2EVENT: Structured Event Inference from Numerical Time-Series", has been accepted as a finding paper of EMNLP 2026.

  • Aug. 16, 2026, "Energy Efficiency Maximization for Secure RIS-Assisted Integrated Sensing and Wireless Power Transfer in IoT Networks", has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking.

Brief Bio.

Dr. Zheng Chu is an Associate Professor at Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China. Prior to this, he held research positions with the Faculty of Science and Technology, Middlesex University, London, UK, from 2016 to 2017, and with the Institute for Communication Systems (Home of 5G & 6G Innovation Centre), University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, from 2017 - 2024, respectively. He earned M.Sc. (with distinction) and Ph.D. degrees in the School of Engineering (former the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, in 2012 and 2016, respectively.

Currently, he has authored/co-authored 134 top-tier peer-review journal and 54 conference papers with over 8600 citations (h-index of 51 in Google Scholar profile), where 7 journal papers have been classified as ESI Highly Cited Paper. He has been included in the list of world top 2% research scientists at 2020 - 2025. He is a Member of IEEE, and Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA) (Recognition reference: PR181775).
